Melbourne explores the AMAF Audit Report

Following the Asset Management Accountability Framework Audit Report that was presented to Parliament on 23rd May 2019, our Melbourne AMCouncil chapter got together over breakfast to hear from Catherine Sandercock, Manager Performance Audit, Victorian Auditor-General’s Office, who spoke about the audit findings and recommendations.

Catherine spoke of the common weaknesses in the approaches several departments had in implementing the AMAF and assuring compliance, and also showed some clear examples of better practice that is relevant to other public sector agencies working to improve their asset management.
Also, congratulations to Hessam Mohseni who was officially recognised as a Lead Assessor for AMAF within Victoria.
